It is a monographic album with works by the outstanding Mexican composer and guitarist Julio César Oliva, dedicated entirely to Maestro Mario Luna, one of the most notable Mexican guitarists of his generation.

The works were composed between 2019 and 2020. They are the result of the introspection and reflection that humanity has contemplated in recent years. In them, Maestro Oliva captures the evolution of his style with influences from the Baroque (Homage to Bach, with pictorial additions by the Jewish-Mexican plastic artist Leonardo Nierman), Romantic (with the Nocturnes in homage to Chopin), Impressionism (with The Illusionist and the Adagietto del amor y del destinio) or even with an eclectic character of a popular nature and reminiscences of Gregorian chant and first hints of polyphony with what seems to be the first guitar Tribute to Santa Cecilia. Thus, we have a phonographic material that contributes to the repertoire of the Mexican guitar an indisputable compositional quality by Maestro Oliva and masterfully interpreted by Maestro Luna.
