On May 10 at 8:30 p.m. will take place in Guitarras de Luthier, the official presentation of the International Guitar Festival of Madrid, which will take place from June 22 to 30, 2019.
 
The presentation will be in charge of main Responsible for the Festival that will detail the concerts and activities planned during the first edition of this important guitar event.
 
The International Guitar Festival of Madrid was born with the aim of making the guitar the protagonist of the musical culture of the capital of Spain. Concerts and Master Class have been programmed by leading figures of the guitar at an international level: Manuel Barrueco, Margarita Escarpa, Alex Garrobé... At the end of the presentation we can enjoy a concert by the young guitarist Luis Guevara, who will delight us with a beautiful program specially chosen for this occasion.

Luis Guevara
He was born in Santiago de Chile. He studied guitar at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile, in the chair of the teacher Ernesto Quezada. During this period he had master classes with teachers José Antonio Escobar (Chile), Carlos Pérez (Chile), Leo Brouwer (Cuba), Ricardo Gallén (Spain), Hopkinson Smith (United States) and Marcin Dylla (Poland).
 
He has developed an intense national and international career performing in important concert halls in Chile, Spain, France and Germany, as a soloist and with orchestras.
 
He has won many competitions, among which the Guitar Contest of La Paz (Bolivia), the International Guitar Competition "Guitar without Borders" (Chile), the Carlos Pimentel Contest (Chile), the International Guitar Contest "Homenaje" "(Chile), the Guitar Competition of Santiago FIGS (Chile) and the International Competition of Classical Guitar" Miguel Llobet "Barcelona (Spain). He has also been awarded in competitions held in Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and France.
 
In his concerts and video recordings he has highlighted his virtuosity with new repertoires for guitar. Among his shows are Niccolo Paganini's caprices, works by Paco de Lucía, transcriptions of works for Clavecín by J. S Bach and new compositions like Imbricatta released in 2016, a work that gives the name to his first solo album.
