Vega Delyra – Concert 2026
From Seville, luthier Juan Miguel Vega Delyra, who signs his instruments as Vega Delyra, has developed a distinctive approach to guitar making in which a profound knowledge of tradition is combined with a strong sense of creative exploration. His work reflects a precise mastery of construction, together with meticulous attention to every element that contributes to an instrument’s individual character.
Vega Delyra carefully selects high-quality tonewoods, considering both their acoustic properties and their natural beauty, and approaches each instrument with the rigour and sensitivity of a maker who understands the guitar as a whole, where construction, materials and sound must exist in perfect balance.
A New Classical Guitar Inspired by Antonio de Torres
We have recently received at Guitarras de Luthier a new classical guitar by Vega Delyra inspired by the great guitars of Antonio de Torres, one of the most important figures in the history of the Spanish guitar.
The instrument has particularly impressed us with its exceptional quality of construction. It reveals meticulous, balanced and highly sensitive workmanship, in which tradition is not simply reproduced, but instead serves as the starting point for creating an instrument with a character of its own.
It is, above all, when the guitar is played that its true character emerges. Its sound is distinguished by exceptional tonal quality, warmth and richness, with a highly musical response and a voice that conveys the combination of depth, sweetness and naturalness that we associate with the finest instruments of the Spanish guitar tradition. The result is a guitar of great appeal to the player seeking not only an outstanding instrument, but also one with a distinctive voice and a strong sense of craftsmanship.
This new guitar by Vega Delyra is, ultimately, a fine example of how knowledge of tradition, the selection of fine tonewoods and creative craftsmanship can come together in a contemporary instrument while remaining firmly rooted in the heritage of the Spanish guitar.
