Guitar Concert - Toni Cotolí

TONI COTOLÍ 

 

 
Toni Cotoli

Classical guitar performer, born in Valencia (Spain), with a wide international experience. He has performed throughout the whole of Spain, as well as France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States, Japan and China.

 

He graduated in the Superior Conservatory Joaquín Rodrigo of Valencia, in the Luthier musical school of Barcelona, in the Robert Schumann Hochschule of Düsseldorf (Germany) and in the Cáceres University (Master in Musical Performance), his teachers being Mª Ángeles Abad, Antonio Galindo, Arnaldur Arnarson, Fernando Rodríguez, Joaquín Clerch and Ricardo Gallén. He also received master classes by great masters such as Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Leo Brouwer, Roberto Aussel, Thomas Müller-Pering, Eduardo Isaac and Hopkinson Smith.

 

He has received different awards, among them the “Fin de Grado Medio” Award and the “Fin de Carrera” Honor Award, both in the Superior Conservatory Joaquín Rodrigo of Valencia. And he also received the 2002 Euterpe Music Award from the Valencian Community.

 

He worked for 7 years as a collaborator in the musical journal Guitarra Total. He was a guitar teacher in the Duetto, Taller de Música Jove, and L´Espai Musical of Valencia schools, and is now a teacher in the German College of Valencia.  He also collaborates in several courses on injuries prevention and treatment for guitarists.

 

He usually collaborates with different musicians and composers, among which it is worth mentioning the singer Celia Mur, the flamenco guitarist Javier Zamora, with which he forms Guitarras del Mediterráneo, and the composer Francisco Zacarés Fort.

 

He has published 5 CDs: “Toni Cotolí” (2003), “Entre Amigos” (2007), “Puesta de Sol” (2010), “Sueños” (2014) y “Aromas de Guitarra – Oda” (2015).
