Coco was born in Piura, Peru.  He won the “Sonrie Peru” award at age of 18. Later, he embarked in a series of concerts sponsored by a Peruvian government foundation playing Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” alongside the Peruvian National Symphony Orchestra.  He was granted a full scholarship to the National Conservatory of Music in Peru, where he studied Classical Guitar.

Starting in 1995, he has participated in a number of national and international guitar festivals. 

Coco is a member of the “Cuarteto Aranjuez” which is a renowned and highly praised chamber ensemble, not only in Peru but also abroad, having toured in Spain, Switzerland, Germany, England, Belgium and the United States. His latest album, named “Solo de Guitarra” and his sheet music book “Musica para Guitarra de la Costa Peruana” have earned accolades and praise from a number of specialty critics; this work contains arrangements and compositions that propose a new guitar style, yet maintains the essence of the traditional Peruvian Music.
